Hubrecht Organoid Technology (HUB) is a fast-growing biotech company, founded on the pioneering work of Prof. Dr. Hans Clevers who discovered methods to grow stem cell-derived human epithelial “mini-organs” (organoids) from tissues of patients with various diseases including cancer and cystic fibrosis. HUB builds comprehensive Living Biobanks of well-characterized organoids and develops assays for drug screening and validation. The organoid technology enables predictive diagnostics and clinical trial patient stratification.
We are currently seeking a highly motivated Scientist Immunology for our Research Groups.
Scope of position:
A scientist at HUB supports service contracts and research projects, commissioned by pharmaceutical companies. This position allows you to drive state-of-the-art research with the aim to develop innovative applications for organoid technology.
As a scientist at HUB, you will be working with the top researchers in the field of adult stem cells and 3D culture for applications in oncology and other diseases. You will interact with external parties and present novel findings at international scientific meetings.
The successful candidate will learn from and contribute to the world leader biotech company on Organoid Technology that has already disrupted human health, providing patients access to novel treatments.
Suitable candidates have a PhD in the field of immunology, followed by at least two years of postdoc experience and a research background in one or more of the following areas:
- Experience in T-cell biology and preferably in immuno-oncology;
- Laboratory-based experience in cell biology, cell culture and immune-oncology assay development;
- Background in flow cytometry operation and analysis;
- A proven track record in independently designing and executing experiments;
- Outstanding skills in cell analytical methods, which include multi-parameter flow cytometry, immunofluorescent microscopy, magnetic cell separation, and next generation sequencing.
Excellent communications and collaboration skills round off your profile. Ideally, you have gained experiences in project management, including initiation and coordination of projects in the context of clinical and research applications. In addition to a broad knowledge in immunology, we are seeking an individual with deep intellectual curiosity and creativity who is open to new challenges.
