Hubrecht Organoid Technology (HUB) is founded on the pioneering work of Prof. Dr. Hans Clevers who discovered methods to grow stem cell-derived human epithelial ‘mini-organs’ (Organoids) from tissues of patients with various diseases. HUB is the world leading center for Organoid technology and aims to expand its pre-clinical and clinical Organoid activities with cutting edge scientific translational research. We are looking for excellent scientists who have the ambition and expertise to translate fundamental and medical academic research to applications in the field of pre-clinical and clinical models and drug development.

Role

We are looking for a bright and enthusiastic scientist with several years of experience as group leader in academic or commercial environment to lead both our pre-clinical and clinical projects of Cancer Program. HUB is a rapidly growing Biotech company, performing highly innovative R&D projects with Pharma industry, Biotech companies, academic groups, hospitals and health insurance companies. In the position of group leader Oncology you will lead a group of scientist in R&D, service, and clinical projects. You will have a central role between HUB and leading industrial, academic, and clinical partners.

Candidate profile

Applicants should possess a Ph.D in Biomedical Sciences, Oncology, or equivalent. It is important that the candidate has a strong scientific background, indicated by a solid scientific track record. A proven capability to independently manage research projects, including study design, execution, data analysis and interpretation of results. You will need to manage multiple research projects in parallel and lead a dedicated team of technicians and scientist. Experience with primary culture systems, immunology, or clinical trials is plus. Experience in project management in a commercial environment is considered a strong advantage.
